AN ADVENTURE THROUGH THE BACKCOUNTRY OF MONT-TREMBLANT

Embark on an adventure on the most spectacular nordic backcountry ski trails in the Mont-Tremblant area. Follow the century-old trails produced by Jackrabbit Johannsen from one side of the mountain to the other, and back! Bold skiers will be enthralled by the highest peaks of the Laurentian mountains. This guided two-day, two-night circuit will immerse you in the heart of the Laurentian forest and reveal exceptional panoramas. As evening falls, let yourself be enveloped by the comfort and warm atmosphere of the Farouche eco-lodge, where you can share your day’s adventures by the fireplace over a good meal!

North Route Itinerary and accommodation

SUMMARY

  • 2 days of Nordic backcountry skiing on the scenic trails
  • 2 nights in a private cabin
  • More than 30 kilometers (18 miles) of nordic backcountry skiing
  • Total elevation gain of 1435 meters (4708 feet)

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY

  • An advanced intermediate route intended for cross-country skiing enthusiasts

Day 1

  • Arrive at your accommodation throughout the afternoon
  • Evening apéro and briefing with your guide

Lodging at Farouche Tremblant

Day 2

  • Breakfast service
  • Shuttle transfer to your departure point (approximately 10 minutes)
  • 19 km of ski with 692m total climbing
  • Start the day with a short climb, before skiing the gladed trail of Sentier des Pruches
  • Enjoy a warm break at the Mont Tremblant North ski station
  • Climb the nordic ski trails linking the North and South faces
  • Enjoy a gourmet lunch box in nature
  • Ski down to the Mont-Tremblant Station
  • Après-ski in a locally renowned bar
  • Shuttle transfer back to the accommodation
  • Apéritif and dinner served in the comfort of the inn

Day 3

  • Breakfast service
  • Shuttle service from le Farouche to the Mont Tremblant ski station
  • Climb Mont Tremblant on the Johannsen Trail (7.5 km/4.6 miles, elevation gain: 780 m/2559 ft)
  • Lunch at the Pic Johannsen Summit
  • Descent the Toit des Laurentides (3.4 km/2.1 miles, elevation loss of 345 m/1131 ft)
  • Return to the day 1 starting point
  • Shuttle transfer le Farouche
  • Conclusion of the adventure

 

 

GUIDED TOUR

Maximize on your nordic skiing experience by opting for a guided package. We will organise everything – transport, hotels, access, food and safety. Maximum size of group: 12.
